Aside from looking out for the hunky Aussie from the Royal Australian Navy, the next must-have for every Penang race has gotta be the Ice Kachang.Each year the Indian guy never fails to turn up at the race site to sell the refreshing Ice Kachang. Freshly made Ice Kachang with fresh fruit, topped off with a generous dose of Gula melaka. Note that the ice-shaving machine's old skool, means that the shaven ice's so fine it practically melts in your mouth. Eaten under the sweltering heat of the Teluk Bahang Dam... heavenlllyyy...
The best part... no coconut! Means we can chow down as many bowls as we possibly can!
